Good Bug, Bad Bug

This year is a bad year for garden pests.  I’m seeing a lot of damage by  Apion longirostre  Hollyhock Weevil, thrips, aphids, leafminers, flea beetles and the list goes on.

Here are a few photos of some of the offenders:

Don’t get discouraged there are quite a few good guys and gals patrolling your gardens.  Be careful if you decide to use pesticides (make sure you do some research before applying) you will kill beneficial insects along with the pests.
